Remember Mother Emmanuel this Father’s Day and the fathers, husbands, and sons who because of the enemy’s evil will not break bread with their families today. Remember the mothers, daughters, wives and sisters who will be absent from their fathers, husbands and children this day when we celebrate family. It is well to feel sorrow this day. It is well to feel anger today. It is well to mourn today. But come the morrow we must take that sorrow, take that anger, take our mourning and we, together, bring them into the Light and there do the work to make the lives of the Emmanuel Nine not sacrifices we surrender to hate but martyrs that raise up justice.
Amen and Amen.
